Curriculums

Curriculums

Education is a vital part of growing up. Many parents spend good money to make sure that their child(ren) get the very best education. My parents did, but in a different way. Since my siblings and I were home-schooled, my parents chose a variety of curriculums for us to try. We tried everything from subjects on the computer to audio tapes. For the most part, we used the same books as previous siblings. Unless the books become outdated, then we updated.

So how is this relevant to you [my readers]? Well, if you do choose to homeschool you need to be able to knowledgeably choose quality educational curriculums for your child(ren). I want to provide you with several educational book names that I benefitted from during my education at home.

For Reading, Grammar, Spelling, and Health: Beka (This is a Christian curriculum)

For Bible: Alpha Omega Life Pac

For Math: Saxon (extremely good for children who struggle in math)

For Spanish, History, Math, and Science: Switched on School House

For High School Sciences: J. Wiles

These curriculums may or may not be for you and your child(ren), but these are just a few names. There are many others. I encourage to research every curriculum recommended to you for quality and understanding. Some curriculums look and sound nice, but are academically poor quality.

I hope that as you pursue or research educational materials that you will ask others for their personal testimonies. Some of the best sources for choosing curriculums is others experiences with those curriculums. Do not get stressed, but have fun.

**Also let your child(ren) participate in choosing their curriculums [if they are mature enough]. Make it a team effort. It will bring you closer together.
